Getting started

Welcome

What you bought, and how this guide helps you launch your website.

Thank you for choosing Vortex. You now own a complete, professionally designed website built with Next.js. This guide walks you through everything, from downloading your files to putting your website online, in plain language.

How to use this guide

Read the Getting started pages in order the first time. After that, jump to whatever you need using the menu on the left, or press / to search.

The three places you will edit

Every Vortex template follows the same structure. Almost everything you change lives in one of these folders:

FolderWhat it holds
src/configSettings: business name, contact details, logo text, colors, menus, SEO and images.
src/dataYour content lists: services and prices, team members, articles, FAQs and reviews.
publicFiles you add yourself: your photos, logo image and fonts.

About the examples

The examples in this guide use the Spa template (Maison Fleur). All Vortex templates share the same folders and settings files, so the steps are the same for yours. Only the content changes: a spa has treatments, a clinic has doctors, a restaurant has a menu.

What every template includes

  • A complete multi-page website with real inner pages, not just a homepage
  • Responsive layouts that work on phones, tablets and desktops
  • Smooth animations that respect visitors who prefer reduced motion
  • SEO settings, a sitemap and social sharing images, ready to fill in
  • Contact and booking forms, ready to connect to your email service
  • Clean, typed code (TypeScript) that developers enjoy working with
